Health
Preventing the spread of any sickness among children will not only help maintain the health of Queensland children but will also help to curtail the spread of these conditions to our staff and into the wider community.
Children are at risk of being exposed as they have close and prolonged contact with other children through playing, eating and classroom situations.
When is sick too sick to go to school? Ask yourself:
- Is my child well enough to comfortably take part in the day's activities and learning?
- Will my child pass on their illness to other children or staff?
- Will my child's teacher be able to care for my child without it impacting on their ability to care for other children?
- If I felt like this, would I go to work?
- If you are unsure, seek advice.
