Enrolling your child at Wilston State School is an important and exciting decision. We look forward to working in partnership with you as your child grows socially and emotionally, and experiences academic success.
Due to our enrolment capacity, Wilston State School has an Enrolment Management Plan, this means we will only accept students who reside within the school's catchment area.
Prep 2027
Children eligible for Prep 2027 are born between 1 July 2021 – 30 June 2022.
Prep enrolments for families residing in the school's catchment area will be accepted from Monday, 27 April 2026.
Steps required to complete enrolment:
- Check and confirm that your residential address is within our local catchment area https://www.qgso.qld.gov.au/maps/edmap/
- Check your child is age-appropriate for school – children eligible for Prep 2027 are born between 1 July 2021 – 30 June 2022.
- Download the Enrolment Checklist
- Complete the Application for Student Enrolment Form and Enrolment Agreement Form, save as PDF files
- Source digital copies (scan/photo) of 3 x proofs of residence – a current, signed Lease or Rates Notice together with two further proofs of residence
- Source digital copies (scan/photo) of a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport
- Email all documents to enrolment@wilstonss.eq.edu.au or deliver to the School Office.
Out of Catchment Waitlist – Prep 2027
Wilston State School accepts out of catchment enquiries for Prep only.

Please note the electronic submission form opens at 9:00am on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.
Wilston State School will contact you should a position become available. Families who will be offered an out of catchment position will be contacted in October 2026. You are not required to complete enrolment forms until an offer has been made.
Out-of-catchment enrolments will be processed in the order they are received, but this does not guarantee enrolment at Wilston State School.
Please note that we do not accept short-term enrolments.
