Principal’s welcome

In 1920, the local community saw the need for a strong vibrant school that would provide generations of students with a very good education - an education that focuses on the whole child.

When Wilston State School was officially opened, one building, now the Administration Block stood proudly overlooking our current site. Over the years, Wilston State School has exceeded expectations and has built a reputation as a school of excellence. The facilities and programs have continually adapted to meet the changing educational needs of the many students who have attended our beautiful school.

As only the tenth permanently appointed principal to be given the honour of leading Wilston State School, I am committed to ensuring that our school remains at the forefront of educational excellence. We hold dear our proud traditions whilst embracing contemporary practices to ensure our every student is equipped to succeed now and into the future.

I am confident in the quality and breadth of education that every child receives at Wilston. In keeping with our school motto – Ever onward, our students exit our school as confident, lifelong learners, well-prepared to meet their next challenge.

I welcome you and your family to our school. We are fortunate to have a supportive school community who work tirelessly to enhance students’ educational experiences. Your first impression of our school will undoubtedly be the strong sense of community that exists. I encourage you to become involved in our school to help maintain this great community spirit.

I am extremely proud to be the principal of this great school.
