Facilities

Wilston State School opened in 1920. Our school is set in a very pleasant environment and consists of good facilities such as a pool, oval, adventure playgrounds, cricket pitch and nets, and tennis courts.

The school buildings are set in extensive grounds with classrooms being predominately of a traditional nature. The school Resource centre has an extensive range of resources, which have been upgraded to accommodate expanding information technology.

In 1999, a covered play assembly area was build. The wonderful asset was provided through the efforts of our school community and special funding by the department.

This building is also used for before and after school care, and vacation care Wilston Kids Care (WKC).

2007 saw the first prep students commence at Wilston State School. Five large modern specially designed classrooms were built to house these students.

In 2009, a start of the art resource centre and eight new classrooms were opened along with two new tennis courts and cricket nets. Three courtyards, an outdoor learning area and toilet amenities were also opened as part of a facilities upgrade to the school.

In 2010 Wilston State School obtained Building the Education Revolution (BER) funding to build a new three classroom modern building to house early years students and to refurbish the majority of the school.
